The Beni Ourain are a relatively large group of tribes inhabiting the mountains South and East of Fez. They are best known for thick knotted pile carpets of undyed natural wool with soft off-white fields and black/brown geometric designs. This is a wonderful example of a Beni Ourain carpet with a large central panel with large diamond shapes containing various decorative features. The series of panels and the absence of borders are characteristic of Beni Ourain carpets. SOLD
